Porirua City was one of the first cities in New Zealand to develop a digital strategy. Congratulations to Kelston Intermediate School, who recently won a $10,000 technology grant from Hewlett-Packard. The winning school was drawn from all the schools that have signed up for the HP Desktop for Schools programme since its launch in April. HP designed the programme, in consultation with the Ministry of Education, to help schools apply technology to enhance both the teaching and learning experience in today's classroom environment. Kelston Intermediate plan to use the money towards further enhancing their environment with a school-wide technology makeover.
