HP announces new Retail Business Development Manager, to drive greater photo and creative sales

25-Jun-2009

SYDNEY, Australia. 25 June, 2009 – Hewlett-Packard (HP) today announced the appointment of Mark Looschilder as the new Retail Business Development Manager, Imaging and Printing Group (IPG), HP South Pacific.

Mark and his team will work in conjunction with HP's retail photo printing solutions retail customers to develop marketing and demand generation campaigns that drive greater awareness, demand and sales for HP's photo and creative offerings.

“My immediate focus is to work closely with our retail partners on building the creative photo category and driving greater sales of creative photo products.” said Looschilder. “We will also be rolling out training and incentive programs with the aim of rewarding and increasing the knowledge of sales staff empowered with the responsibility of building what is a fairly newly and evolving category in the printing industry”

In addition, Mark will also be looking to identify the current and prospective retail customers to work with that are best suited to implement HP’s new retail publishing products and solutions in-stores.

Mark has been working with HP's Imaging and Printing Group, based in Singapore for the last 6 years. Initially working in the home and business printing part of the business, Mark has spent the last two years as the marketing manager of HP's Retail Printing Solutions Group. In this role, he was responsible for building and establishing HP’s retail photo presence across Asia Pacific, amongst retailers and consumers.

In his new role, Mark will report to Richard Bailey, Vice President of IPG, HP South Pacific.

This week, at the 2009 Photo Marketing Association (PMA) tradeshow in Sydney, HP unveiled several new additions to its line of retail photo printing solutions -- all designed to empower consumers with the inspiration and tools to personalise their photos and publish customised creative output while helping retailers maintain peak efficiency.
