Sydney, Australia, 13 July 2009– Responding to consumer demand for highly mobile, clutter-free and stylish technology, HP has today launched new additions to its consumer notebook, desktop and monitor ranges. HP’s new products feature innovative technologies and designs that allow consumers to touch the future, now. Highlights of the new ranges include the highly anticipated HP Mini 110, the latest mini notebook from HP; the new and affordable small form factor PCs for the home; and a design makeover for HP’s consumer desktop PC range.

“Digital lifestyles and the demand for compact and highly mobile technology have shaped the development of these new consumer products from HP,” said Tony Ignatavicius, Director, Product Marketing, Personal Systems Group, HP Australia. “Specifically, the HP Mini 110 and new small form factor desktop PCs offer affordable, capable and stylish choices for mobile and home computing.”

The new HP Mini 110 feature White Swirl, Pink Chic and Black Swirl designs, come in a variety of configurations, and include a 160GB hard drive, solid state drive or Linux operating system. Geared towards information “snacking”, the internet-centric devices also feature a 10.1-inch LED widescreen, an Intel® Atom N280 1.66GHz processor and built in webcam and microphone.

Also new to HP’s consumer notebook range is the powerful HP Pavilion dv2 Notebook PC, which now offers the AMD Turion™ Neo X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor and a 500GB hard drive in its slim build.

HP’s consumer desktops now offer not only functionality and value, but feature a consistent and stylish black gloss look across the entire range. To address consumer demand for compact, affordable products, HP has launched new editions of its small form factor PCs – specifically the HP Slimline s5000a Series PC and the Compaq Presario CQ2250AN_B PC. Focused on delivering uncluttered solutions for the home, the new Compaq Presario CQ2250AN_B also comes with an 18-inch monitor.
